Govone arte presents “Il mondo messo a fuoco”: the new exhibition by Giulio Lucente at the Castello reale di Govone
From July 18 to August 23, 2026, the exhibition path of Govone arte is enriched with a new event dedicated to contemporary art with “Il mondo messo a fuoco”, a solo exhibition by the artist Giulio Lucente.
The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday, July 18 at 5:00 PM in the halls of the Castello reale di Govone. The exhibition will then be open to visitors during the usual opening hours of the Savoy residence.
A journey into nature through painting
Giulio Lucente’s artistic research stems from a profound relationship with nature. After an initial interest in informal painting, influenced by masters such as Ennio Morlotti and, later, Anselm Kiefer, his path progressively focuses on trees, woods, and inner landscapes, transformed into images with a strong expressive character.
In his works, nature is not a simple subject to be represented, but becomes a place of memory, experience, and knowledge. Through intense pictorial matter and a personal use of color, Lucente builds a language capable of evoking emotions and reflections that go beyond reality.
As the artist himself says:
“i do not want to flood with words those who will lay their eyes on my works. Just know that this is part of my journey, a witness of time through my eyes, my senses, my memories as I have accumulated, perceived, preserved, or even distorted them.”
Contemporary art in dialogue with a royal residence
With this new exhibition continues the path of Govone arte, a project that brings contemporary art into the historical spaces of the Castello reale di Govone, creating a dialogue between heritage, landscape, and artistic research.
Giulio Lucente’s works invite the visitor to slow down their gaze and observe nature not only as a landscape, but as an experience capable of recounting time, memory, and the profound relationship between humans and the environment.
