CROCICCHI (of paper, time, and intent)

Marco Paschetta’s illustrations will be on display starting March 22.
From March 22 to May 25, the halls of the Royal Castle of Govone (CN) will host the exhibition

CROCICCHI (of paper, time, and intent) by the Cuneo-based illustrator Marco Paschetta.

The displayed illustrations and comic panels, taken from just as many children’s and young readers’ books published in various countries, will narrate the work and research path the illustrator has pursued in recent years.
For the author, each image also “comes” from personal experiences, from the figures his gaze has collected—more or less consciously—over time.
For this reason, the word “crocicchi” (crossroads) is used as the title of the exhibition.
It refers to the exact point where multiple paths converge.
That place where the sheet of paper, the passing of time, and the intent
(understood as the effort and tension of representation) meet so that an image can blossom.

The exhibition can be visited on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at the following times:
10:00 – 12:30 / 15:00 – 18:00

EXPLORE

DISCOVER THE VISIT ROUTE

Cross through time as you explore the Castle’s rooms.

Initially a noble palace, then a royal residence, and finally a community hub for all the people of Govone, the Castle weaves together centuries of history. Visiting it means retracing the steps that shaped it into the multifaceted—and therefore unique—place it is today.

DISCOVER GOVONE

THE PARK, THE GARDENS, THE VILLAGE, AND THE HIKING PATHS

Govone extends beyond my walls. It is an entire community that takes care of the magnificent places it inhabits. I invite you to explore everything that surrounds me: the park and the gardens, the greenhouse, the intimate rose garden, the village, and the outdoor trails immersed in nature, which you can explore on foot or by bike.

The park, inhabited by squirrels, woodpeckers, jays, embraces the castle all around with its hedges of boxwood, beech trees, elms, and cypresses.

The gardens gather and showcase Maria Cristina's passion for botany, particularly for roses, displaying various splendid antique varieties.

The historic center extends the visit beyond the castle walls, revealing the authenticity of a village that, while continuing to live, preserves its memory.

The trails lead you along the edges of the constellation of which the castle is the protagonist, through fields, vineyards, and hazelnut groves, allowing you to discover the land.
